The principal member of Nickel City Music has experience as a DJ dating back to 2003. Nickel City Music was established in 2014.

Our available dates are on a first come, first serve basis, because of the number of events we service each year. Nickel City Music will hold a date for up to five business days to provide you with a chance to review our service agreement.

Performance dates are held with a 25% non-refundable retainer fee and a signed service agreement. We accept cash, credit, or check for this initial payment.

Pre-Booking Consultation: We require a pre-booking consultation that allows both parties the opportunity to  meet.  This is accomplished by phone or in-person.  We will send a pre-booking questioner to interested parties that must be returned to us before the consultation is scheduled.

Event Plan: Sixty days prior to your event we will discuss and finalize your time-line plan for your event date.

Event Day: The time has come to execute your timeline. We will follow the timeline signed-off by you to make sure introductions, speeches, toasts, special dances, cake cuttings, and ceremony specifics are followed and remain on time. If you have a timeline with the venue and there is a discrepancy in ours, we will defer to the venue’s timeline for that specific item.

Requests: It’s your choice if you want us to accept requests from guests or stick to a pre-determined playlist. We want everyone to have a good time. We find that playing the guest’s requests improves audience interaction.

Profanity: We have two versions for most songs that contain profanity. While we can self-sensor ourselves depending on the crowd, you have the ultimate authority to tell us what versions to play.

Playlist Range: We have most everything. Nickel City Music invests in our music library by subscribing to the same music catalog company as the top radio stations. We receive high-quality digital downloads weekly allowing us to play the latest hits on our ultra modern sound system with clear, pure sound.

Standard Lighting: Our standard lighting setup brings a club feel to your dance floor.

Moving Theatrical Lighting: It is said that your guests will remember the bar, the food, the music, and the atmosphere. Luckily, Nickel City Music can help with the music and the atmosphere. Our enhanced lighting system will create an electrifying atmosphere for your reception, guaranteed to pack your dance floor with guests of all ages.

Uplighting: Our wireless uplighting is an easy and affordable way to create a modern wedding reception. Uplighting from Nickel City Music will wow your guests by transforming your venue and adding ambiance and pizazz. Clients have told us our uplighting has garnered more compliments than any other decoration at their reception. Our uplights our wireless, require no electrical outlet and can be customized to your wedding’s color scheme.

Monogram Lighting: Monogram lighting adds a personalized touch to your wedding. Monogram lighting is created using a “gobo” and a special gobo projector. A “gobo” is a small disc that is inserted into a special gobo projector. You can project your monogram, names, wedding date, or anything else onto any surface for a special wedding lighting effect.
